“Then, after desire has been conceived,
it gives birth to sin,
and sin, when it is full-grown,
gives birth to death”
James 1: 15
The warning is that we can avoid sin and think we are doing well, however gradually we encounter sin and give in a little bit and then more until gradually we have been worn down to give in and then fall into sin which can lead us to eternal death and away from eternity with God our Father and creator.
“So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall”
I Corinthians 10: 12
